Who we are
CyberAware was started during our founders’ junior year of high-school when a close friend’s grandmother was scammed out of over $10,000 due to a Family Impersonation Scam. After a quick Google search, it was obvious how often these scams occurred - over 100,000 to the elderly in the U.S. annually.
Our mission is to prevent these occurrences across the world, by training students to help senior citizens and others in their communities.
So far, we’ve educated over 3000+ people across 30+ senior homes, middle schools, and more on how to protect themselves from digital threats.
We’d love your help in making the internet a safer place whilst getting volunteer hours!
